Where Do Our Products Come From?
Taking into consideration ethical concerns and religious sensitivities, our products are derived solely from the Wharton's Jelly layer collected from human baby umbilical cord tissue - wjMSCs. It is collected after a baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut. This guarantees that both mother and baby are safe [1]. All our products are sourced from Malaysian births that have exceeded 37 weeks gestation.
Why Age Matters
MSCs from older sources lose the ability to differentiate and increase the likelihood of contamination by viruses, diseases, toxins and mutations. They also increase the chances of a negative immune response and rejection.
A younger source means longer survival duration and higher proliferation rate. Umbilical cord-derived products - such as Wharton's Jelly MSCs - are the purest and youngest tissue-specific sources available. It does not require perfect HLA tissue matching and has fewer incidents of immune rejection. Because of this characteristic, it is ideal for allogeneic (donor) transfusions [2,3]. Its use in therapy poses no danger or discomfort to the patient.
